Shanelle Lambert-Rauh

  • shanelleStaff Position: Executive Director
  • Education: BS in Visual Communication from the University of Evansville
  • How many years at camp: 8
  • Favorite camp activity: Creek Hike and scuply pens
  • Favorite tv show/movie: Once Upon a Time
  • Favorite camp animal: Miss. Duck and Duckzilla

Jeanna Roush

  • Staff Position: Camp Nurse
  • Education: Nursing at Northern Arizona University
  • How many years at camp: 3rd year at Whippoorwill – but 14 years at other camps
  • Favorite camp activity: the growth of each camper
  • Favorite tv/movie: Bones
  • Favorite camp animal: the bunnies – Chocolate Chip and Thumper

Marissa Tomasic

  • Staff Position: Bear Cub Director
  • Education: DePauw University with a B.A. in Elementary Education K-6
  • How many years at camp: 3 years at Whippoorwill, 8 years of camp experience not counting being a camper :)
  • Favorite camp activity (at Whippoorwill or in general): Horseback Riding and Farming
  • Favorite tv/movie: Grey’s Anatomy and Glee
  • Favorite food: Pizza and Ice Cream
  • An interesting fact about yourself: I ran the 1/2 marathon April 2010 and April 2011.

 


Sara Goodwin

  • Staff Position: Co-director, arts and crafts program
  • Education: Millsaps College (2008), Elementary Education
  • How many years at camp: This will be my third (non-consecutive) year at Whippoorwill, and my first year as co-director of the arts and crafts program. I have also worked at a non-profit day camp in college, as well as an overnight camp in The Berkshires (Mass.).
  • Favorite camp activity (at Whippoorwill or in general): Ummm, I think this one’s obvious. :)
  • Favorite tv/movie: Shameless, Weeds, United States of Tara, Parks and Recreation. Movies: Blow, Labyrinth, The Dinner Game, My Neighbor Totoro
  • Favorite food: I could almost always go for pizza, and I love any kind of berry
  • Favorite camp animal: Buddy! The friendliest goat I’ve ever met.
  • An interesting fact about yourself: I’m originally from Louisiana, having moved here when I was ten.

Andrew Bishop

  • Staff position: Office Coordinator
  • Education: Belmont University; Social Entrepreneurship major
  • How many years at Whippoorwill? 1st year at Whippoorwill. Tons of experience as a camper!
  • Favorite camp activity (at Whippoorwill or in general): Arts and Crafts and Horseback Riding (I can’t pick!)
  • Favorite tv show or movie: Favorite tv show currently…Alias! Favorite movie…Titanic!
  • Favorite Food: Kraft macaroni and cheese
  • Favorite camp animal: Spots the cat -we hangout in the office together!

Dick Wooten

  • Favorite camp activity: Swimming in the pond
  • Favorite tv/movie: Nova and Patton
  • Favorite camp animal: Lilly

Sidney Wooten

  • Staff Position: Emeritus Director
  • Education: Vanderbilt University
  • How many years at camp: 40 wonderful years
  • Favorite camp activity: Farming – we get to eat the results!
  • Favorite tv/movie: Evening news and The Black Stallion (I have always wanted an Arabian horse, but this is not practical for camp)
  • Favorite camp animal: Chickens – they talk to you and give you blue and green eggs.
