Counselor-in-Training
The Counselor in Training program is designed for 16 and 17 year olds or juniors and seniors in high school. The program runs from June 7-July 2 weekdays only. CIT's must attend the entire 4-week session.
The CIT's will learn the basics of camp counseling while building a strong foundation in leadership and team dynamics. CIT's will also learn the importance of child development and what a camp can do for both the camper and the counselor. All CIT's will become first aid certified as part of the program and will help lead daily camp activities. CIT's are still considered campers and will never be solely responsible for a group of children.
The cost for this program is $600. $110 deposit is required with the application and will be applied against the program fee. If accepted into the program, the deposit is non-refundable. Please note that the EarlyBird Discount does not apply to the CIT program. Space is limited to 10 slots. Applications are reviewed by the Executive Director and CIT Director.

For Applicants: Complete the CIT Application (pdf) and sign the bottom. It requires your parent's signature as well. All CIT applications must be postmarked no later than February 28, 2010. You will be notified by March 12, 2010, as to whether or not you were accepted into the program.
