November 2009: Autumn at the Farm
The mists of early morning create a farm of mystery and soft beauty. The whole world is a soft, fuzzy white with a hushed stillness adding to the mystical experience.
This peace is suddenly interruped by a loud whooshing of wings and quacking as Miss Duck and her companions land close to the camp office demanding breakfast. Add to this the sounds of Buddy Goat and Milo Pig all hollering for their breakfast. Spots, the office kitty, adds his voice to the mayhem.
The only quiet animals are the rabbits and horses, each only concerned with their own business! The chickens are still asleep and miss all the excitement.
One day I was by the pond and noticed that Miss Duck had a big problem. Spots, the cat, was stalking Miss Duck as she snoozed by the pond. I was about to jump at the cat and try to save Miss Duck, when Miss Duck suddenly turned her beak toward the cat and CHARGED! She gave him a mighty peck and he ran as fast as he could for the safety of his office In Basket.
The glory of autumn is in full swing, with golden leaves and beauty everywhere. Each of the farm members have their own place and part of this beauty. What would they say if they could write or talk?
