Finally, It's Spring!

The ducks walk up the farm road, taking a hike to only they know where, enjoying a drizzily spring day, with daffodils bravely showing their color. The chickens are looking forward to juicy worms arriving for the warmer spring weather, and horses are joyful over the tender green grass appearing just for them! Buddy, the goat, has a new job, which he likes very much, being a weed eater. He is put out along fence lines and other weedy areas to happily munch away. Milo, the pig, is happy to soak up the warm sunshine in his favorite nap spot. The rabbits would like to join everyone exploring spring, but we have to watch them carefully for their safety.
Mark and Chris have almost finished the climbing tower and we all looking forward to the first climb up and a rappell down. The camp garden is ready for potatoes to be planted soon along with lettuces, spinach, and snow peas. We have many returning staff and wonderful new counselors to meet. Spring is an exciting time at Whippoorwill Farm!
