For 2010 Campers and Parents: See instructions for tie-dye material

There are so many activities to choose from at Whippoorwill! You can try something new each day or build your skills by choosing the same activity more than once. A big part of Whippoorwill is free choice -- you get to choose your interest group four times a day (Bear Cubs get help choosing which activities they'll do).
Some of the favorite activities include: reptiles and amphibians, farming and farm animal care, nature museum, bunny village, wood-working, nature craft, kayaking, hiking, photography, nature discovery, drama, fishing, crawdad-catching, innertubing, pottery, camp newspaper, journalism, weaving, blackberry picking, free swimming, climbing, rappelling, soccer, archery, horseback riding, horse care, outdoor cooking, zip line, woodlore, biking, creek exploring, Indian beading, archaeology, tie-dye, and the Flying Squirrel!
Most of the day is spent in Interest Groups. Campers sign-up and spend one hour at each interest group. Sometimes an activity fills up; if this happens, let us know and we will put your child's name at the top of the list for the next day's group.
We recommend that campers attend Whippoorwill for two sessions to participate in all activity choices or spend more time in a favorite activity.
The Nature Museum, one of the Interest Groups, houses turtles, frogs, snakes, toads, insects, fish and crawdads - plus many unusual objects our campers find!
